IAPS Support Network

At the International Alliance for Pediatric Stroke (IAPS), we know how important it is to have a support network as you navigate life after a child’s stroke. There is nothing more reassuring than being able to turn to someone who has experienced challenges similar to what you’re facing. With that in mind, we have created a way for you to connect with someone who has already been down this path.

The IAPS Support Network is a group of peers who are ready to share their lived experiences and resources, or to simply let you know that you are not alone. We recognize that strokes affect children of all ages and the outcomes vary greatly. So, our network includes parents of children of all ages, and young adults who experienced a stroke as a baby or child. We will try to connect you one-on-one as closely as we can based on type of stroke, geographic location, age of child, medical conditions, or specific issues or concerns you may have.

You may also be searching for pediatric stroke medical specialists who are in your area. Through our network, we have the ability to reach out to the medical community to try to connect you. In the future, as our Support Network grows, we may be able to match you with families in your community as well. You may also want to request a printed copy of our Pediatric Stroke Family Tool Kit by using this Order Form. This must-have guide can help you navigate life after a pediatric stroke diagnosis.

Please get in touch today and let us know how we can help support your journey after pediatric stroke!

Please note that we are not medical professionals, so we cannot review any diagnostic tests or provide medical advice. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide financial support.
