Call for Applications: 2026 Pediatric Stroke Research Grant
The International Alliance for Pediatric Stroke (IAPS) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 Pediatric Stroke Research Grant, supporting early-career investigators in the United States conducting innovative research that advances the understanding, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or long‑term outcomes of stroke in infants, children, and adolescents.
This competitive grant provides up to $25,000 to investigators dedicated to improving the lives of young stroke survivors and their families.
Grant Program Timeline
- Application Opens: July 15, 2026
- Application Deadline: September 15, 2026
- Award Notification: Late Fall 2026
- Final Report: Due within 60 days of the grant term end
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be early‑career investigators (fellows, trainees, or junior faculty within 7 years of first faculty appointment as Assistant Professor, or equivalent)
- Be based at a U.S. institution eligible to receive extramural grant funding
- Conduct research focused on pediatric stroke (neonatal, childhood, or adolescent populations)
- Disclose any conflict‑of‑interest (COI). Any financial or personal relationships with IAPS board members, staff, or reviewers must be disclosed along with any necessary management plans.
